Our Offerings
Our asynchronous courses are designed for self-paced learning. The Introduction to The Collins Writing Program course gives learners six hours of course content and associated resources. Facilitated by Dr. John Collins, the course provides an overview of The Collins Writing Program and its application in any classroom.
We also offer a video coaching series to accompany Writing Roadmap by Kristine Gibson.

About CIU
The courses are created and hosted by Central Intermediate Unit 10. Located in Pennsylvania, CIU 10 serves schools in Centre, Clearfield, and Clinton Counties.
Pennsylvania teachers receive 6 hours of Act 48 credit upon completing Introduction to the Collins Writing Program by CIU 10.
Act 48 hours are not available for other offerings, including Writing Roadmap.

Single users have 90 days from enrollment confirmation to complete the course.
Multi-user licenses offer course access from August 1 through May 31. Course access begins 24 hours after a roster is provided. Regardless of registration date, multi-user license course access will expire at 11:59 EDT May 31.
Writing Roadmap:
Users have unlimited access to this course.

Q: Will I earn continuing professional education hours?
A: Pennsylvania teachers will earn six (6) hours of Act 48 credit, awarded by Central Intermediate Unit 10. In order to earn the Act 48 credit, participants must complete the Act 48 survey and provide their PPID number.
Act 48 hours are not available for other offerings, including Writing Roadmap.

Q: What is the digital badge?
A: You earn the digital badge when you complete the course. The badge can be downloaded to use in your email signature. It will expire one year after you complete the course.
